Interlibrary Loan

To request a book that UCF does not own (or to request a book from another UCF Campus), use Interlibrary Loan. If you do not have an Interlibrary Loan account, please use the "First Time User Registration" to create an account.

To search for books at other libraries, use the State University Libraries' Catalog, or WorldCat.

Library Research Tools

Library Catalog  Search the catalog to locate books, eBooks, book chapters, reference and government materials, or media titles. Identifying topic-related books/ebooks can help you identify terminology, understand topic-related concepts, and help in understanding the scope of a topic.

Library Databases Browse databases arranged by discipline/subject area. Most subject databases and multidisciplinary databases provide access to peer-reviewed journal articles. Some databases also provide access to government reports, books & ebooks, book chapters, newspaper articles, and conference papers.

Identifying Key Journals

Talk with people in your field about which journals they read and where they publish their research. Your academic department may also maintain a list of the key journals for your college or program. Many of our subject-related research guides also include lists of journals by discipline.

Use the Online Journals option on the Libraries homepage to search for journal titles available online. You can also use the link below to view a quick how to video on accessing journals online.
