LibGuides Tips & Tricks for Librarians: Hiding Tabs

This guide is intended for the authors of libguides, not the general users of the content.

Leaving Part of Guide Under Construction & Invisible

If most of your guide is ready to be published, but you're still working on a page or subpage, you can keep the part that is under construction invisible using the "Control Page Visibility" function.

Revealing Pages in Stages for Instruction

During an instruction session, you could include pages with polls or quizzes on the guide and only reveal them when you're ready for the class to see them. Then you could reveal a page with the answers to the quiz. Then you could move on to the next section, hiding the parts you've finished. After the session is complete you could reveal all pages so that the students can review the session on their own.
