This guide highlights information about the libraries' Canvas course, 'Introduction to Library Research Strategies.'
All students and instructors in Strategies for Success (SLS 1501) and English Composition II (ENC 1102) are automatically enrolled in the class each semester. Instructors may assign the course at their discretion and use the quiz score as appropriate.
The course content introduces basic information literacy skills. Each module contain text, videos, and a 3 question practice quiz. A multiple-choice "Final Library Quiz" is also included as a scored assessment.
Instructors from any course can request access by contacting the Student Learning & Engagement department at instruct@ucf.edu.
For more information about the course, please contact Rachel Edford.
We have created this webcourse for you and your students. Please use it as you see fit.
Please be mindful when assigning the quiz to your class. It is very easy to inadvertently change the due date for everyone's ENC1102 and SLS1501 sections. To assign the quiz to ONLY your section of ENC1102 or SLS1501, see the online instructions: https://guides.ucf.edu/librarycourse/assign
The SLS 1501 and ENC 1102 have slightly different content. Here is a summary of what's included in each.
