The Citation Map tool allows you to easily create a visual representation of citation relations. To create a citation map, click the Citation Map Link from within an article record. Articles with too many citations take longer to load and may too cluttered for the visual representation to be effective. Citation Map Setup
A new window will open in which you will select when you want to map and how far out. Backward mapping maps your article's cited references; forward mapping maps articles that cite yours. 1 Generation displays articles with a direct citation link to your article. 2 Generations includes articles two citations away.
You can order, color code, or print the map. Hold your mouse over a name on the map for the citing article's information.
