3D Dremel printer and Bambu X series printers

About the Dremel 3D printer

Before use:

Have a staff member turn on the 3D printer. Staff member will prepare printing tray for printing.

Wait for it to warm up.

Use the attached computer to get the design.

  •  www.thingiverse.com is a good site to find 3D ideas
  • Once you find an object you like, download the file(s) to the USB device provided by CMC staff.
  • Double click the Dremel 3d Digilab slicer icon on the home screen of the computer.
  • Click the button on the left side that looks like a folder.
  • Go to the USB drive and select your object from the folder.
  • Prepare the object(s) for printing. 
    • Click prepare object for printing icon, this will convert it to the file type you need.
  • Save it to the USB device again, this time from the Dremel printer program.
  • Click to eject the USB device safely from the computer.
  • Remove the USB device from the computer and insert it into the Dremel 3D printer, USB slot is on the front of the printer bottom right side.
  • On the front of the Dremel 3D printer, select the "Build" icon. (This little screen is a touch screen in the center of the bottom of the printer.)
    • before the next steps, have a staff member prepare printing tray for printing.
      • we use a special glue stick on the build platform to make sure the object you are building adheres to the platform while printing.
      • make sure build tray is level.
  • Select the USB drive.
  • Select your object.
  • Build your object.

About the Bambu X1/E 3D printers

Before use:

Have a staff member turn on the 3D printer. Staff member will prepare printing tray and assist with printing.

Wait for it to warm up.

Use the attached computer to get the design.

  •  www.thingiverse.com, printables.com, and makerworld.com are good sites to find 3D ideas
  • Once you find an object you like, download the file(s) to a USB device provided by CMC staff or you can use your own.
  • Double click the Bambulab slicer icon on the home screen of the computer.
  • Click the button on the left side that looks like a folder.
  • Go to the USB drive and select your object from the folder.
  • Prepare the object(s) for printing. 
    • Click prepare object for printing icon, this will convert it to the file type you need.
  • Save it to the SD card, this time from the Bambu slicer program.
  • Click to eject the SD card safely from the computer.
  • Remove the SD card from the computer and insert it into the Bambu 3D printer, ask staff for help with this
  • Select your object.
  • Build your object.
