In this video, Lavastida explains his digital exhibition, merging the analogue and the digital. The first segment of the video describes Lavastida’s graffiti and drawings of architectural plans of prisons on the island. The second segment of the video showcases his digital art incorporating architectural images of Cuban prisons. The work of Lavastida and Otero Alcantara intersect in that both created images with the goal of representing not only the existence and geographical space of prisons but also, as Lavastida explained in the video, for Cuban artists, the only two options are jail or exile.
