beta.sam.gov has replaced CFDA which "provided a full listing of all Federal programs available to State and local governments...; domestic public, quasi-public, and private profit and nonprofit organizations and institutions; specialized groups; and individuals."
This publication contains a listing (nearly 10,000) of foundations that give grants to individuals. It describes giving for a variety of purposes, including arts and cultural projects, general welfare, scholarships, student loans, fellowships, program development, internships, professorships, research, as well as awards and grants by nomination only. It may be used as both a grantseeker’s guide and a reference tool for those interested in foundation giving.
