About the ARC
The Automated Retrieval Center (ARC) is part of a multi-year project of library expansion and renovation. The second phase of construction was completed in fall 2020 to expand the existing library building and connect it to the ARC, creating a new entrance facing the Student Union. All of the books and journals in the back portion of the library were moved into the ARC to clear the way for this construction. The third phase of construction is renovating the entire 3rd floor and is expected to be completed in late spring 2023. All of the remaining books on the 3rd floor were moved into the ARC. Requesting materials
A request for items stored in the ARC is initiated by any UCF user directly from the online library catalog and will be available for pick-up from the John C. Hitt Library's book checkout desk near the Student Union entrance of the library. Timeframes for delivery of items are typically 5-20 minutes.

This form is only for library patrons who do not have an active library account. Students, faculty, staff, and Special Borrowers should use the online catalog to request materials from the ARC.
