Accessing Online Library Resources

The easiest method of remote access for all electronic resources (eBooks and databases) is to use your NID and NID password to log in from the UCF Library Articles and Databases page. You'll also be prompted to log-in for a more detailed catalog search (including eBook access).  When a box like the one to the left appears, log in with your NID and NID password (the same log-in you use to access Webcourses).  After several minutes of inactivity, your access may expire; when that happens, simply log-in again.

If you encounter problems with access, contact your course librarian, or for assistance during evening and weekend hours use "Ask Us".  You'll find this "Ask Us" link with chat, phone and email options on the library home page.

Finding eBooks Using Primo, the UCF Libraries Discovery Tool

At times you may find eBooks particularly useful.  eBooks are searchable through the UCF Libraries Primo Discovery Tool, using your NID and NID password, as described above.  You can search by title, if you have that information, but most of the time we do not have specific titles, so we are searching for book titles using keywords

The following video provides a great explanation of searching for a book using keywords - in the example in the video, the search term is "second language learners".
