This guide is intended to be a starting point for your research. As your subject librarian in Psychology, I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions about our resources or services.
- The homepage search defaults to Primo Search: Available Now, which searches several hundred databases to find 1) the full text of online articles, ebooks, dissertations and more, and 2) everything the library has immediate access to in print or another physical format (i.e., the catalog). Very few items are both: most will be either online OR paper. Other options:
- Using Primo, change search scope to Library Catalog to locate books, eBooks, book chapters, reference and government materials, or different types of media.
- Everything in Primo finds additional articles and books you can request free through Interlibrary Loan.
- Use the Journals tab to search by periodical title (not article title) to see if we own a certain journal or magazine.
- Use the Databases tab access a database, or browse to identify databases you can use to locate articles, book chapters, government reports, conference papers, and other selected resources. Most subject databases and multidisciplinary databases provide access to peer-reviewed journal articles.
