To access electronic resources and materials, like the library databases, ebooks, online articles, streaming videos, you will just need to sign in with your NID and password.
Print and other types of physical materials (books, government documents, DVDs, etc.) owned by UCF Libraries are stored in two locations: the Automated Retrieval Center (ARC) and the shelves of a UCF library location. The majority of the libraries' print materials are housed in the ARC. When you search for materials in Primo Search, you will see an item location which will either identify the item as in the "ARC" or on the shelf. Books on the shelf will list a call number only. You must sign in with your NID and password to Primo Search and use the "Request" option to request books from the ARC.
If you are trying to access materials not owned by UCF Libraries, you can use our Interlibrary Loan Service. Requested articles and book chapters will be delivered electronically and usually take around 1-4 days to process. You can request up to two chapters in an individual book in electronic format. If you are requesting an entire book, this takes on average 7-10 days to arrive. If you are a distance learner, you can request ILL items to be mailed to an address you provide using our Library Express Delivery (LED) service.
