Using AI Tools

 

For Students: Should You Use AI?

Before using an AI tool for academic purposes, please check your course syllabus and/or seek the guidance of your professor. 

Understand how the AI tool collects and uses the information you provide. Do not use private or protected information (such as FERPA or HIPAA protected information).

 

A Word on Safety from UCF IT

Most Generative AI systems, like ChatGPT and Bard, learn from the data they're given. Be cautious and avoid using sensitive details such as university business data, personal information, proprietary research or any data protected by law with these AI systems. Please refer to UCF IT's Rules of Enagagement to better understand your responsibilities while utilizing such tools.
