Easy Search – this is the default screen
Type in your topic in the “Search the News” box
Choose which sources in either Source Type or Source Title
You can search and limit within your results by clicking on any of the categories on the left
side of the screen.
You can also print, email, and/or save the article.
Power Search –for more in-depth research
Click the headings on the left side of the screen to link to more specialized searching.
Type in your topic in the Search Terms box
Select date from drop-down menu
Select sources by type or name
Searching tips
Select Natural Language to search for phrases – use quotation marks
Select Terms and Connectors to use the following
Connectors – use AND, OR, NOT to combine search terms
Truncation – use ! to replace one or more letters at the end of a word
Wildcards – use * to replace a letter within a word
