How to request books through Document Delivery & Resource Sharing

To request a book through Interlibrary Loan or Document Delivery, follow these steps:

Step 1. Log-in to your ILLiad/UBorrow account.

Step 1. On the left-hand side, click on "Book" under New Request.

Step 2. Fill out the book request form.

Step 3. Click on "Submit Request" at the bottom of the form.

You will see your new request listed on your ILLiad/UBorrow account's main page. The UCF Library will now process your request.

Tips

- The more information you put on your request, the faster it will be processed. If you provide an ISBN or OCLC number, your request may be sent to another library immediately after you submit it, without staff intervention. (Search OCLC WorldCat here).

- If you are requesting a book that has multiple volumes, make sure you specifiy which volumes you want on the request form. Most libraries will only lend three to five volumes per request.

- If you are requesting a book that is owned by UCF, but is missing from the shelf, make a note of it in the notes field of the request form. This way the UCF Library won't cancel your request.
