Nora O'Malley's been a lot of girls. As the daughter of a con artist who targets criminal men, she grew up as her mother's protégé. The National Book Award for Young People's Literature is presented by the National Book Foundation at a ceremony in November. The Walter Dean Myers Awards are awarded at a ceremony in early spring by the We Need Diverse Books non-profit organization.
