Sanborn Fire Insurance Company Maps of Florida comprise an online collection of more than 300 bibliographic units in more than 3,000 map sheets dating from 1884 through 1923. Digitized maps are in the public domain and illustrate the development of more than 130 Florida cities.
The dates vary by town, with the earliest for Florida towns from 1884. For example, Orlando maps are available for 1884, 1887, 1892, 1897, 1903, 1908, 1913, 1919, 1925, and 1925-1951. The maps after 1923 are not available online because of copyright restrictions
The University of Florida Map & Imagery Library in Gainesville has most of these maps for Florida towns in paper format, and provides a brief list of the available maps.
The Orange County Regional History Center has paper copies of the 1925 maps for Orlando and Winter Park, updated through the 1950's.
