General Information:

Full-text of Orlando and regional news from March 11, 1985 to current. Classifieds and advertisements are excluded.

Basic Search: default screen, type in your subject and click on Search.

Advanced Search: use for more in-depth search option. Limit your search to a specific field by clicking on the drop down field menu by Citation and Document Text.

Search Tips:

Boolean operators:

• Use AND, OR, NOT to create a narrower or broader search

Truncation/Wildcards:

• use “*” symbol to replace multiple letters, for example politi* searches for political, politics, politician, politicians

• use the “?” to replace one letter, for example wom*n searches for woman or women

Phrases:

• Use double quotation marks to search for phrases that are three words or longer.

• Two word queries are searched as an exact phrase by default

Limit your search by date:

• select “Date" drop-down field menu

• pre-defined date searches or the ability to type in your own specific date or date range

Browse an Issue:

• Enter a date without a topic to see all articles published in that issue
